The Apple Vs. The Cupcake—Poor Little Guy Didn’t Stand A Chance

Did you know simply seeing images of junk food triggers feel-good dopamine release in the brain, much like seeing white powder does to a cocaine addict?

So imagine the party going on inside your noggin when something like this appears:

kalahari desserts and apples with text (2)

I snapped this photo at the food counter of a water-park resort I recently visited and thought it a perfect way to capture one of Eating Bull’s themes:

When it comes to overeating, there are more forces at play than willpower alone.

Five pathetic apples rotting in a basket, tucked away in shadowy darkness, up against mouth-watering treats that easily serve four people a piece.

Which one do you think those excited park-goers want?

If only the place made a tempting fruit display as well. Juicy oranges or plump watermelon wedges perk up our taste buds, too. So how about we at least give the fruity underdog a fighting chance?

Don’t worry, little apple. I’m rootin’ for ya.

Comments are closed. It’s the weekend, after all, and a special one at that. Happy Father’s Day to all you dads!
