Mail Lists and Magic

Mail lists. All the cool kids are getting them. Which means, as usual, I’m late to the party.

But I finally added a newsletter tab to my homepage. I use the word “newsletter” loosely because I don’t intend to send out regular updates. People get enough email without me adding to their inbox. But I would like a uniform way to inform interested readers about my next book release or any special deals.

I chose MailChimp, and since I had no idea what I was doing, I used these two blog posts to guide me: How to Add a Mailchimp Newsletter to WordPress.Com Blog – with Style! and How to Set Up a Mailing List on WordPress.com. Thank heavens for people like Aniko and Dylan who pave the way for the rest of us.

If you’d like to be added to my mail list for extremely infrequent updates, go to my homepage and click on the cute little guy in the sidebar who looks like this:

Aw, me so Microsoft Clip Art cute.

If not, no worries. So far, I’m my only subscriber.

Comments are closed. I just got home from my son’s annual magic convention, and I’m trying to put my sawed body parts back together. On the plus side, a magicians’ conference is one of the few places where the men’s line to the bathroom is longer than the women’s.
